WHAT IS COUNSELLING

Counsellors have trained in a range of therapeutic models. You might hear the terms CBT, NLP, Time Line Therapy as well as psychodynamic or person centred counselling to give some examples. There is no need to panic!

You can find out more about the therapies we offer and how they may be able to help you on this website. In order to judge what is right for you, you may find it helpful to talk to us. We are happy to explain how these approaches work in simple language so you can make the right decision.

Counselling gives you an opportunity to think and talk about feelings and specific problems with someone trained to support you, and hear what you say, without judging you or directly advising you. This will be undertaken confidentially.

Most people find between 4 and 12 sessions is sufficient to provide new outcomes and relief from their concerns.
